"To say that we did our research before choosing Allan Builders is an understatement. We toured many, many models. We visited Parade homes. We toured existing homes. We decided to build exactly what we wanted, and then narrowed our “short list” to just three builders. In the end, our decision was made based on the quality of the home, the value for our money, the transparency of the process, the responsiveness of our sales person, and perhaps mostly on Allan’s willingness to help us customize our home. We had a vision and they found solutions to our unusual requests. In fact they seemed excited at the opportunity! We’re just two empty-nesters living in this house, but we wanted very specific spaces to enjoy our hobbies (building guitars & woodworking and creating stained glass art), a semi-private place for our grown children and their families to stay when they visit, and all the neccessities on one level so we can live in this home unassisted as we age—all on a challenging, sloped lot! We thought that was a lot to ask, but you’d never know it from the way that our sales person answered every question with patience and reassured us that their designers could find a solution. They not only found solutions, but they came up with some great ideas that we didn’t know were even possible. The layout of our home looks very little like the original model we started with, but with each new idea Allan’s team faced the challenge head on and came back to us with a brilliant solution. We had so many questions and so many changes, and our job manager never seemed irritated. His calm personality was a good balance to my excitable nature. We recommend Allan Builders constantly. As far as we’re concerned, they are the gold standard for building. Ours isn’t the most elaborate home they’ve built, but they sure made us feel like it was! We created a one-of-a-kind home that reflects our personality and, looking back, we took a lot of risks because it ended up being a truly custom build. The end product exceeds every expectation that we had. This house reflects everything that is important to us, has room to welcome our large extended family, and feels like HOME. We are thankful for every day in our personal masterpiece."

"Our custom home was a unique project. I am a degreed designer and have several years experience in custom home design. Although I now focus on commercial projects, I was familiar with many of the builders in Southeast Wisconsin. I had designed a home for our family and was looking for a builder who really saw my vision and had a good reaction to the plans. We began interviewing builders in the area, looking for someone that would be open to building our design. Allan Builders gave us some good feedback and assured us that they could build our custom home to our specs, and within our budget and timeline. The majority of our build was seamless since we already had our design. The exterior and interior finish selections were all selected by myself and I turned to Allan Builder’s Interior Selections Coordinator for her knowledge with regards to their partner vendors and any questions or concerns we had thru this process. She was always quickly responsive. We actually had two Project Managers; John Nelson and Bill Holdman. John accepted a promotion within Allan Builders so then Bill Holdman stepped in as our project manager half way thru the build process. Both were very professional, kind, and highly knowledgeable and very responsive; they always went the extra step for us. We had several experiences with Allan’s vendors that exceeded our expectations, particularly Dave Jones, Inc. who came all the way from Madison within two hours of hearing from our Project Manager about an issue, and Ryan, our painter, who painstakingly worked to make a custom stain for our exposed beams and barn doors, and a custom grey paint color for all our millwork. Craftsmanship, customer service and pride in their work were all evident with both of these companies. In the end we had a great experience and we know that our custom home was built with quality products and workmanship."

"Did you ever realize part way through a major commitment that you made the wrong choice? That’s exactly what happened when we visited our first Allan model during the Parade of Homes. We fell in love. We had already commited to another builder, but we couldn’t stop thinking about the amazing finished lower level in that Charleston Parade model, and the sincerity of the sales person we met there. After bumping into her again at another Parade home, we decided it must be for a reason. We set up an appointment and told her about our prior commitment and our fears that we were building the wrong home. She explained our options and immediately went to bat for us. At this time, we had zero commitment to Allan. Without earning even a dime of our money, they were willing to take a risk to earn our business. Since we had already been dreaming about making the Charleston our dream home, we went in with a few ideas of how we’d like to change the plan. Without hesitation, our sales rep worked with Allan’s architect to show us a few versions of the plans incorporating our ideas. We were so impressed, and we knew immediately what the right choice was. Throughout our building process, the Allan team treated us like VIP customers. Their commitment and dedication never wavered, even after we signed the contract. They made sure that we were able to design and build our dream home at a budget that was within our comfort zone. After we finalized the plans we learned that our house was — get this — 18” too wide for our lot! We worked with Allan’s architect again to creatively redesign the space so we could make it happen and not feel squeezed in. Again, he exceeded our expectations. Every person that we met with was very knowledgeable and helped make our decisions very easy. The same kind of service extended beyond the doors of their office to their vendors as well. We loved working with Drexel, especially on the selections for our kitchen! They were very accommodating, even when we changed our minds several times. We also enjoyed working with Schmidt Custom Flooring. We were overwhelmed with making such a permanent choice, but Schmidt made the process easy, and their work was impeccable. We would recommend Allan to anyone that is considering building a new home. From start to finish, we had exceptional service and we’re so proud of our Allan home."

"We did our homework before deciding to build. We visited several model homes and met with three other companies, but something stood out about Allan Builders. At first glance all of these companies (and their pricing) seemed to be similar, but after sitting down with our sales person and comparing apples to apples, it was obvious that the Allan home was a better value. We fell in love with the Charleston floorpan, but we wanted our home to reflect our personal style. We made significant design changes to the exterior, resulting in a Prairie style home that we love! Throughout the entire design process, our sales person was helpful and very knowledgeable. The whole team at Allan is very close knit and it’s easy to see why they have such a great reputation—nothing falls through the cracks. We were impressed at how easy everyone was to work with. Even their vendors treated us with respect and took time to explain their work. What impressed us most was everyone’s “can do” attitude and the flexibility that we had to ensure that our new home was exactly what we wanted it to be. "We had been researching builders for a while and found Allan Builders after my parents started building with their other company, Victory Homes of Wisconsin. We liked their upfront pricing, easy building process, and the fact that there wouldn’t be any surprises—everything we wanted in our home was already included. We had a very positive building experience. Right from the start, there was open communication and the details were clearly laid out. We were impressed with the process. We found our salesperson, Phil, to be extremely knowledgeable. He was responsive and available whenever we needed him, even after hours. He took the time to explain things to us. We felt like he really cared, and were almost sad when it was time to move to the next phase of our build. But then we were introduced to Chris, our Job Manager, who was just as responsive and kept things moving smoothly. We still talk to Chris from time to time when we have questions, and he’s always easy to reach. We would recommend Allan Builders to anyone thinking about building. "We had an outstanding building experience!! The Allan Builders team has mastered the process of building. It was fun; there was no stress; and Allan's vendors could not say enough good things about both Allan Builders and Victory Homes. Our New Home Specialist, Debbie Sievert and Sales Manager, Aaron Haug certainly smoothed the process for us. Their patience was appreciated as we agonized over design details. My husband had built before, with another builder, and had a less than positive experience. We chose building onlybecause we couldn't find an 'age-in-place' home that had a scenic setting.
